Classic Waffles


2 cups flour

4 tsp baking powder

¼ tsp salt

¼ cup sugar

2 eggs, separated

½ cup oil

2 cups milk

Tatua Dairy Whip

Fresh, frozen or tinned fruit

Maple syrup


  1. In a large bowl, sift together the dry ingredients.
  2. Separate the eggs and beat egg whites until stiff.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the egg yolks, milk and oil.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix well.
  5. Fold in the egg whites.
  6. Cook in waffle iron.
  7. Arrange waffles on a serving plate.
  8. Add fruit. Top with Dairy Whip.
  9. Drizzle with maple syrup and serve immediately.
