Black Forest Cups


300g premade brownie or chocolate cake

150g fresh or frozen pitted cherries

ΒΌ cup sugar

Juice of 1 lemon

Tatua Chocolate Mousse

1 cup fresh red berries + extra for serving

Shaved chocolate & edible flowers, to garnish


  1. In a pot, combine the cherries, sugar and lemon juice. Cook for 5-10 minutes while stirring, or until the cherries have broken down and it has reached a syrupy consistency. Leave to cool.
  2. Across four glasses, crumble half of the brownie or cake into the base. Spoon half the cherry compote over the four glasses, then top with half of the fresh berries.
  3. Top with a thick layer of Tatua Chocolate Mousse, then repeat the layers.
  4. Finish the cups with berries, shaved chocolate and edible flowers. Serve immediately.
